Present Perfect
- Combine the Present tense of the verb haber with a past participle to form the present perfect tense.
- Ex. he, has, ha, hemos, han
- You use the Present Perfecr in the same way you use the corresponing English way.
- Ex. haven't repaired.; have you had.
- To form the past participle of verbs add ado to ar verbs and ido to er/ir verbs.
- Ex. hablar- hablado; vivir- vivido; comer-comido.
- If a verb has two vowels (except for ui) require an accent mark on the i in the past participle.
- Ex. caer- caído; traer- traído; leer- leído; oir- oído; reir- reído; creer-creído.
- Some spanish verbs have irregular past participle endings.
- Ex. abrir- abierto; ver- visto; morir- muerto; resolver- resuelto.
- If you have negative words, object pronouns or reflexive pronouns place them before the form of haber.
- Ex. No he repartido.; Mi profesora me ha escrito.; El dueno se ha ido.
